Mount Kilcoy State School was established in 1909 with an enrolment of 26 students. The original single-room school house was built to cater for the educational needs of children from the surrounding dairy and cattle farms. Mount Kilcoy State School is located 10 kilometres north of the township of Kilcoy. We are surrounded by picturesque mountain ranges, lush green paddocks and the tranquil sounds of the country.

From these humble beginnings, the school has built a reputation in the local area for providing a quality education for all of its students. We aspire to prepare our students for their future lives and recognise this in our motto 'Learning for life'. Our teacher-to-student ratio and our fantastic facilities and staff, allow us to provide an excellent education for all students from Prep through to Year 6.

Our 'little school' has a 'big family' atmosphere where everyone knows each other well and works together cohesively to achieve their best. We believe this 'personalised approach' to education is the foundation for our uniquely respectful and highly productive learning environment.

The facilities at our school are also first rate, with interactive whiteboards installed in all learning areas and students having access to computers and iPads in their classrooms. Our new library and science centre are also exceptional and provide our students with state of the art access to resources at their fingertips.

We welcome you to 'our school'. Please feel free to peruse all features of our site or contact us for more information.
